UCLA Offsite Exposure Study
As a follow on to the public health assessment, the ATSDR contracted with the Eastern Research Group (ERG), who in turn issued a sole source contract to the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) to assess potential off site exposure.
Even though the UCLA report utilized essentially the same environmental data as the ATSDR study, it reached very different conclusions. The UCLA report concluded that there was evidence of environmental contamination in the surrounding communities which could lead to exposure and health risks to the residents.
